About Christie Kaderabek, Founder of Chrysalis

I was born in 1957 and raised in a small town in Wisconsin. Life was simple and challenging at the same time. I grew up in a family of 13, I was the 8th child, eight girls and three boys. I happened to be the child that didn’t fit the mold. Little did I realize the plan that God had for me.

At the age of 23, I married my husband Dick. He was my knight and shining armor. In a few short years we became parents to our three children, Ashley, Danielle and Cody. We also have two son-in-laws, men that we love and respect. At the age of 27 I gave my life to Christ but it took another 10 years before I truly began my faith walk.

My journey in life was far from the fairy tale. After more than 20 years of a challenged marriage I had a life changing experience. It was a separation from my husband that allowed me to seek God with new eyes and a fresh heart. It didn’t take long and I was asking God to change me. I went through years of emptiness, heartache and brokenness only to discover the key to my success was to change me. Transform me Lord, I began to pray. The process was in motion. But God had an even greater calling for me. Obedience! To restore my marriage. I tried to negotiate at first and then the Holy Spirit reminded me that obedience was more important than sacrifice. Jesus’ sacrifice for me is immeasurable and yet I wanted to negotiate this sacrifice. My love for Jesus put the obedience call into motion. Little did I know that God had exactly the right person in my life to be the tool to allow me to become the person he created me to be. Today through the love, grace and mercy of God, Dick and I celebrate 30 years of marriage.

God wasn’t done with me yet, he had a much bigger plan. In the midst of my transformation a seed was sown in me and out of it birthed a ministry that only God could have ordained. In October 2009 I hosted my first Chrysalis women’s event. Chrysalis is about transformation through the miracle that only God can do, by encouraging and inspiring the hearts of women through truths that transform. You will laugh you will cry and you will walk away touched by a heartprint from God. So come and celebrate a day that embraces the gift of being a woman and all that you are created to be. 

I reflect on this scripture often; You do not realize what I am doing, but later you will understand. –John 13:7  It was in the journey that God had prepared and transformed me to be the messenger for His kingdom. He is calling you too.

Statement of Faith
 
I Believe the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God.
I Believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
I Believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory.
I Believe in the blessed hope – the rapture of the Church at Christ’s coming.
I Believe the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ.
I Believe regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
I Believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4.
I Believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.
I Believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
